Christmas Message

by Archbishop Victor

Christ is born!

This holy time of the year should be dedicated to the birth of Our Lord and not just to food, drink and company. There are many during this season who desire to start over, to change their lives and to make new friends because they feel so alone. If they would remember to praise God and attend a church service they might feel better and not feel so alone.

We often fail to remember the reason for Christmas because of the holiday excitement that brings families together to celebrrate and to watch as the children enjoy their gifts.

What we should remember is that on this holy feast of the Nativity, the time we set aside to commemorate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, we gather in joyous celebration of the One who gives us new life. We should praise God for His abundant grace and for His divine plan for our redemption and salvation.
